# Interior Measurement Conversion Reference: methodology

Twelve deterministic unit-conversion records for reading furniture drawings. Exact arithmetic references, not standard furniture sizes, manufacturing tolerances or a measurement survey.

[NIST unit definitions](https://www.nist.gov/pml/owm/si-units-length) support units, not the selected example dimensions. WoodAge selected arithmetic examples to explain drawing and quote ambiguity. No price, customer, transaction, ergonomic standard, brand ranking or observed project is represented. The full input list and formula allow reproduction. Results are serialized to at most 12 decimal places; rounding is not a manufacturing tolerance. Actual product instructions, site measurements and approved drawing/contract rules control. Human technical and contract approval is required before reuse.
