Warranty excludes damage from water leakage outside cabinet (plumbing failure upstream), physical mishandling, third-party movers, structural alteration to the carcass, exposure beyond normal kitchen use (industrial cooking volumes), and any modification by an unauthorised carpenter. Cosmetic wear of finish over time is not a defect.

Ask both manufacturers to break out: (a) per-cabinet material + finish + hardware, (b) all separately-priced kitchen line items (countertop, chimney, hob, sink, gas, electrical, dado, false ceiling, transport, GST), and (c) the design / consultation fee. When both BOQs follow the same granularity, the apples-to-apples comparison is straightforward; when one bundles, ask for the same breakdown.

Some manufacturers bundle a design/consultation fee into the per-cabinet price; others quote it separately as a one-time line. A "free design" often appears as an inflated cabinet line elsewhere. The fair approach is full transparency: design fee disclosed as a separate line, then the buyer assesses whether the design effort warrants it. Laminate (Greenlam, Merino, Century) is widely scratch-resistant and forgiving of everyday Indian kitchen use; surface is matte-to-glossy depending on grade. Acrylic shutter offers a deeper, glossier finish; shows fingerprints and benefits from gentle microfibre cleaning. Both tolerate normal kitchen heat near (not directly on) the hob. Neither is rated for direct flame contact. Both depend on machine edge banding for moisture resistance - that step is non-negotiable in NCR.

Membrane (PVC heat-pressed onto MDF) is cost-effective and forgiving of curved profiles but tends to delaminate over time, especially near steam-prone zones like above the hob. Laminate on plywood carcass with machine edge banding holds dimensional stability longer. Membrane is acceptable for low-budget, low-heat zones; laminate-on-BWP or HDHMR is the more durable choice.

A 72-hour install assumes the kitchen was already manufactured in advance (typically a catalogue-stocked aggregator) and the site is fully ready (civil work done, electrical and plumbing complete, no fitment surprises). A custom factory-direct kitchen with site-measured cabinets, countertop slab cutting, and hardware tuning typically needs 1-3 weeks of on-site work after manufacture. The 72-hour claim is real for catalogue-stocked models; less realistic for fully custom builds.

WoodAge runs manufacturing once site measurement is locked. If builder handover slips, the buyer can either (a) delay site measurement and manufacture, or (b) lock manufacture against the GA drawing with the understanding that fine-tuning may be needed at install.
